WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
My biggest influences are Walt Disney, Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes, DreamWorks Animation, painters Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Antoni Gaudí, Mexican songwriter & composer Francisco Gabilondo Soler "Cri-Crí", Argentinian musical comedians "Les Luthiers", and Catalan songwriter & poet Joan Manuel Serrat.
WHAT DO YOU FIND INSPIRING?
I find inspiration in everyday life, I enjoy myself in human conducts, poses, and expressions. I love watching animals, their behaviors and anatomies. The core of my drawing is observation and interaction. Also I enjoy Hollywood movies, specially the animated ones or the ones with lots of creatures. Music is a big muse for me too.
TELL US A FUNNY STORY ABOUT YOURSELF.
When I was about eight years old, I went on vacation to Cancun. There we visited a zoo. A pregnant monkey approached us asking me to tickle her fat belly. When I was doing so, she left, I got distracted, and an evil raccoon trapped my tiny infant finger with its evil paws and start sucking it with the most uncontrollable fury. Fortunately, the guide reacted to my tragic screams and help me get free from its infernal mouth. I had my finger purple colored for the next three months, but now I'm fine, don't you worry. And I hate raccoon... those sneaky bastards!
