CREATOR'S NOTE
In creating Home Bodies, we hoped to provide an inside look to our eight unique dance artists. Combining dance and film made sense in that it could eliminate any barrier that might exist between the viewer and mover in a formal theater setting. Beautiful cinematography and clever editing carefully reveal and highlight each movement artist moving as themselves in their space. We really wanted to show dance as something familiar, close, accessible, touchable. We’ve thought of each film as a raw movement portrait; pieces revealing the individual and showing a more intimate side of dance. We’re so grateful to each of our movement artists for sharing themselves and their space. To Patrick, our film master, none of this would exist without you!
