WHY DANCE?

Why not? Why not allow myself the freedom and the space to just be? I feel most alive when I am in a space with music and letting my body move in an untamed manner. words have never been my strong suit but grooving has always come with ease and allows me to speak my heart.

WHAT'S IT LIKE LIVING IN NYC?

NYC- You kick us all on our booties daily and you are not cheap not easy- however there is no place I need to be other than in the deep crazy ish of it. there is exploration down every avenue, discovery on every stoop and views of your dreams from the rooftops. I have found who I am and who I am meant to be in this city all while finding out that daunting word of vulnerability

ABOUT THE ARTIST

A native of central Ohio, Adam found his passion for dance after getting bored waiting in the lobby of his sisters dance classes at the young age of four. Adam grew up in the competitive dance world concentrating on jazz, tap, musical theater and lyrical from time to time. It was not until high school where he found his passion for more contemporary style of movement, after stepping outside of his studio walls and traveling for conventions in the bigger cities. From the competitive stages, Adam made his way to the studios of The Ohio State University Dance Dept. where he earned his BFA in choreographic and performance art. Adam has since moved to NYC where he has had the opportunity to perform with numerous dance companies and continues to choreograph in both the New York tri-state area, as well as back in his home state of Ohio.
