WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
My parents (Lyn and Larry) certainly influenced my decision to try my luck as a professional dancer. I've also been lucky enough to have countless influential teachers and mentors since my beginnings as a young lass in pink tights.
WHAT DO YOU FIND INSPIRING?
I'm fortunate to be surrounded by joyful people, artists, and art, so finding inspiration isn't too difficult. My two 4-year-old nephews, Miles and Jude, inspire me all the time. Miles is a French speaking musical savant, and Jude tears up the dance floor like no other. Recently, I've also found great inspiration in the comical stylings of Harpo Marx.
TELL US A FUNNY STORY ABOUT YOURSELF.
Gullibility has always been an issue for me. When I was about seven, my 11-year-old sister Katie told me that she was, in fact, Roger Klotz, the teenage villain on the Nickelodeon cartoon Doug. Clearly there are a lot of things wrong with this picture, but somehow Katie's declaration permeated my brain, and for the better part of a month, I believed I was living with a cartoon character.
